Key Achievements
Japan's first Cyber Fusion Center β $25M invested, ROI > 70%. Designed and ran it at Accenture using my own framework, Adaptive Defense; against a $25M investment it returned over 70% ROI with full payback in three years, and turned security governance from a cost center into a P&L-generating structure.
Cross-border GTM acceleration (Israel β Japan). For Israeli deep-tech startups and their VCs, time from market entry to signed contract compresses β the gap between Israeli speed and Japanese corporate governance turned into customer trust and faster conversion.
"Most Valuable Engineer," worldwide (FireEye President's Club, 2013). As a founding member of FireEye Japan, introduced dynamic sandbox analysis to the market and built the sales-engineering function from zero.
Professional Summary
For thirty years β since starting as a technical translator in 1996 β foreign technology has earned the trust of Japanese enterprise buyers through my work, and the path from first meeting to signed contract has grown shorter. My rare edge: I turn strict governance and control β the very things that usually slow a deal β into the reason a cautious enterprise says yes, and into faster go-to-market. And what I advocate, I build myself.
The track record is cumulative, not coincidental: FireEye's worldwide "Most Valuable Engineer," Accenture's $25M Cyber Fusion Center, and today's cross-border advisory are steps in one line of work β making complex security legible to the people who sign the deals, and being a candid, rigorous sounding board that lowers the load of executive decisions. It runs in real time, across cultures and languages (Pearson VERSANT Sentence Mastery: C2).
Career Evolution
Each phase enabled the next: translation led into forensics and packet-level analysis; that depth enabled converting cyber risk into P&L and ROI; a period away to care for family sharpened how I read executives; today the focus is improving how enterprises actually make decisions.
Professional Experience
Applied R&D β NoΔma (2024 β Present)
- Cognitive security at the developer's endpoint β a working proof-of-concept that intervenes at the human moment (e.g., pasting AI-suggested code): an on-device model reads intent and a deterministic, human-written policy decides allow / nudge / block. All analysis runs locally β the text examined and its results never leave the device (zero exfiltration).
- The endpoint component of Temenos, a loosely-coupled Policy-as-Code governance fabric. LLC registration Aug 2026; OSS release Oct 2026.
Independent β Principal Strategic Architect & Executive Advisor | Venture Partner (2024 β Present)
Structural GTM and business-development partner for Israeli deep-tech startups and their VCs entering Japan.
- Technical DD that underpins capital decisions: Execute the independent technical due diligence that VC, PE, LP, and M&A principals rely on for their investment decisions β translating deep technical reality into an investable thesis.
- Governance-as-Accelerator (GTM): For portfolio companies entering Japan, convert strict control and compliance into go-to-market advantage and faster contract conversion.
- Cultural Structural Translation: Make the IsraelβJapan disconnect (decision rights, ringi, risk posture) explicit and navigable for both sides.
Tata Consultancy Services Japan (Mar 2023 β Mar 2024)
Head of Cyber Security Consulting Β· Head of Research & Innovation β Consulting Partner (concurrent)
- Cyber Security Consulting: Built dynamic Cyber Resilience frameworks for Tier-1 financial and manufacturing groups. Spotting the opening created by the FSA's push toward proactive ("active") cyber defense in finance, I delivered β single-handedly β the full stack for a megabank: planning, strategy, GTM, the threat-hunting roadmap, program design, and execution.
- Research & Innovation: Bridged India's engineering output into the Japanese market and stood up the innovation ecosystem (PACE Port Tokyo, IndiaβJapan exchange) to carry it.
Accenture Japan Ltd. (Jan 2018 β Feb 2021)
Security Japan CTO, Head of Cybersecurity Services, Managing Director Β· Accenture Ventures, Managing Director (concurrent)

Foundation β Security Engineering & Vendor Leadership (1996 β 2013)
A steady progression of security engineering and vendor leadership: sales engineering and product localization for the Japanese enterprise market at Fortinet (2011β2013) and Clearswift (2008β2011); founding-team security engineer building SIEM and original detection logic at Systems Trust (2005β2008); independent system auditor / PM for public-sector and early mobile-and-grid systems (2003β2005); Director / PMO leading 88 people on national-scale IT infrastructure at COMTEC (1999β2002); bilingual technical-support leadership at Serviceware (1997β1999).
